To get to Port Logan follow the A716 towards Drummore. Turn off on to the B7065 for Port Logan.
The bay has an excellent sandy beach with stretches round to the Logan Fish Pond. The old harbour and lighthouse gives the village its main focal point and provides shelter for small boats to be launched from the slipway. Many people fish from the old pier. There is ample car parking, a picnic area and a play park.

The sheltered cove attracts many water sports, including windsurfing, canoeing and water skiing. This bay was used in the production of the BBC drama series 2000 Acres of Sky”.  The sunsets can be as spectacular as those seen on the programme. On the north side of the bay is Logan Fish Pond
