From the north, connecting with Glasgow, M8, joining the M77, which merges into the A77 - continue along this, bypassing Kilmarnock and Ayr, through Maybole, Kirkoswald, Girvan, Lendalfoot, Ballantrae and Cairnryan, to Stranraer.

 

Travelling southbound continue on the A77 which merges into the A716 near Lochans.

From the east join the A75 near Gretna and continue, by-passing Dumfries, Castle Douglas, Newton Stewart and Glenluce leaving the A75 soon after, joining the B7084 which meets the A176 near Sandhead


Mileage from Stranraer to the tip of the South Rhins - Mull of Galloway Lighthouse - approx. 22 miles.

On reaching Stranraer follow the signs through the town towards Portpatrick until the A77 turnoff to Lochans and where the A716 begins. Continue along the A716, going through Stoneykirk, by-passing Sandhead, through Ardwell, to Drummore.

At the T-junction turn right and at the next junction turn left, following the signs to the Mull of Galloway and Visitor Attractions, five miles from Drummore.
